This spectacular leak with green alga vegetation has its origin in roofing splice. It is my experience that unfortunately the design of waterproofing splices, corners and other transitions is usually left to the contractor or completely abandoned if located between different trades. The architect shall always specify and design all relevant inter-systemic details necessary for building erection. The simplicity of the soverall design shall be the ultimate goal.
