EIFS

This is an expanded polystyrene board installed onan uneven and misaligned gypsum board wall surface. The board adheres to the wall only by a few spots.  The ventilation-drainage flutes behind the boards have been clogged by the excess of the adhesive, applied in order to bridge the 2" densedeck offsets.As a result, the facade would work as the barrier system, as opposed to the cavity system. Therefore it would be much more vulnerable to a faulty workmanship, weather, and likely to malfunction. Any crack on this wall's finish surface would automatically result in a leak inside.
